Nollywood: Leo Mezie Back From The Dead

A near death encounter is never far from the news but this is interesting because an actor is involved.

Leo Mezie who made headlines in July this year after news of his kidney failure became viral now has every reason to smile.

After weeks of soliciting for public support and a campaign actively pushed by Silverbird TV and Rhythm FM, Leo travelled to the UK in October for a transplant, he never did.

Leo in a chat with entertainment journmalists in Lagos said his kidney recovered miraculosly.

''I still cannot explain it, during my first visit, i was told to prepare for a donor transplant and treatment. My second visit, i am told i should put the transplant on hold, and my third visit, i learn that my kidneys have started working; its just unbelieveable!

Leo in the company of friends, says he has learnt a vital lesson, ''i now know i have a greater purpose in life, God has kept me alive for a reason.

He further asked celebrities never to be ashamed when in financial crisis 'ask for help, there is nothing wrong with trying to save your life!

Leo is a notable face of television, appearing in some Nollywood flicks including Royal insult, The African Beauty and Kingdom Masters among others
