Buhari with Saraki

President Muhammadu Buhari is optimistic that the current economic recession will come to an end in 2017.
President Buhari gave the assurance yesterday in Abuja while declaring open an induction course organised by the ministry of foreign affairs for Nigerian career ambassadors-designate recently cleared by the senate.
The president says he is hopeful that the external factors that partly contributed to push the economy into recession would ebb in 2017.
The president has also called for better cooperation between the executive arm of government and the legislature.
He said this was needed to ensure smooth implementation of his government’s policies and programmes.
The president made the call in his goodwill message to the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, on his 54th birthday.
President Buhari said despite the principle of separation of powers, both arms of government should be united in promoting the common good of the people.
