Dasuki Can't Steal $2.2b Under My Watch-Jonathan

Immediate past president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan says it was impossible for the National Security Adviser under his administration, Sambo Dasuki, to have stolen $2.2 billion as claimed by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission.

Mr. Dasuki, who has been in detention since the first of December last year is linked to the misappropriation of the funds meant for the purchase of military equipment.

A statement by the anti-graft commission said Mr. dasuki will be re-arraigned on November 16.

Many politicians, mostly from the Peoples Democratic Party have been linked to the arms deal.

They are being prosecuted by the EFCC with the latest being the quizzing of the Mr. Reuben Abati, the former spokesman for president Jonathan.

He was alleged to have taken funds in ranches from ONSA towards the 2015 presidential election.
