Chibok girls reunite withe parents

 

Twenty one released Chibok girls met with their parents yesterday during a special thanksgiving service in Abuja.

It was an emotion encounter, as the parents saw the daughters for the first time in over nine hundred days since they were kidnapped.

Chairman of Chibok Girls Parents Association, Yakubu Nkenke, confirmed that all the girls had eventually been identified by their parents.

Speaking on their ordeal, Gloria Dame, one of the rescued girls, said they stayed without food in the bush. for “one month and ten days and that she narrowly escaped bomb blasts in the forest.

Meanwhile, the federal government is optimistic that more of the kidnapped girls may be released soon.

Minister of information and culture Lai Mohammed made this known at the special thanksgiving in Abuja.
