South-South Elders Urge Buhari to Implement 2014 National Conference Recommendation

Elders of the Southern Nigeria under the aegis of Southern Nigeria People’s assembly have called on President Muhammed Buhari to address all the issues capable of threatening the unity of the nation by implementing the recommendations of the 2014 national conference and releasing Nnamdi Kanu.

The elders who converged in Umuahia to discuss the challenges facing Nigeria, urged president to release all freedom fighters duly granted bail by the court.

The South-east, South -south, and South-west states were fully represented at the meeting.

Some of the resolutons of the conference is the call for restructure and local government autonomy.

There have been agitations by people of south-east region that the present administration had alientaed them from government.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB s leading a faction of agitators but their leader, Nnamdi Kanu has been incacerated on the allegation of treason and felony.
