Police Parade Woman For Stealing 1-Month-Old Baby

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested Peace Chukwuemeka who allegedly stole a month old baby in Uyo.

The command paraded several suspects including several suspects including arm robbers , kidnappers and child traffickers at the force headquarters in Uyo.

Police Officer Cordelia Nwaiwe, viewed that a married woman who left Lagos state due to barrenness, yielded to stealing a one-month-old baby, the crime was committed  to the protection of life and property, she cautioned earlier to be careful with neighbours in reporting suspect to the police.

Parents of the one month old baby, Mr& Mrs Ibrahim spoke on the incident stating that the suspect told his wife to eat the food she bought food for her,  his wife ate the plantain from the neighbour and  got weak and the neighbour took her child.

She struggled to get the baby to no avail, Mrs Ibrahim also added  that she told her to give back her child but she ignored and left the house.

The suspect who expressed that she did not harm the woman believing she was sick and coughing, so she took the baby, while other suspects expressed that it was the devil and also lured to commit the crime.
