Fayose

Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose is accusing the Federal Government of giving a ‘tacit’ support to suspected Fulani herdsmen to invade some border towns and villages in the state.
The governor made the allegation yesterday in Ado Ekiti, this follows the alleged threat issued by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria to wage war against the government and people of the state over the killing of four cattle belonging to its members by the newly inaugurated Ekiti Grazing Enforcement Marshalls.
Governor Fayose however called on the people of the state, especially those living in border towns to be on ‘red alert’, insisting that the Federal Govt. Is maintaining a total silence on the threat by the association.
Governor Fayose, who recently inaugurated the grazing enforcement marshal stated that, no one has been arrested or prosecuted since the suspected Fulani herdsmen launched attack on state’s in the country.
Government had since stopped grazing of cattle in the Federal Capital Terrtory, Abuja and had prosecuted some of the erred herdsmen.
As a matter of fact, scores of cattle were seized while their owners were askeed to pay fine in Abuja.
